Dear Bhutanese Friends,
On June 14th, 2008 on the sidelines of ABA Convention in California, the opportunity to organize 2009 event was given to Virginians. And we are proud to inform you all that the date for the much anticipated coming together of Bhutanese residing in the US has been finalized for July 4th and 5th. 2009.
Call it a Bhutanese Maha Sabha, Mela, A Camping, Convention or whatever you will, but we invite every Bhutanese to be part of this festivity. Reconnect with your long lost relatives and friends,make new friends and share experiences,discuss issues of general concern, of our future as a community and so on. That is the whole idea behind this exercise. There will be a lots of fun and food for both young and old. Come one come all and indulge in it.
Consider this as an open invitation or first public notice as we work on the details of the program and update our mailing list. As a host we would like to have your inputs and know about needs and plans so that we can work to make your visit to pleasant as possible. Please share email with your friends and help us update our invitee list.

Activities: Meetings, Panel Discussions, Music, Indoor Party, Picnic, Cultural programs, Basketball, volley ball , soccer tournaments. We have special events for kids too.
